Sky Lucas believes sharing our intimate experiences can not only shed light on the struggles we are dealing with collectively, but also empower us significantly. Sky decided to write this book because she feels her perspective can bring new ways of approaching alcohol and recovery. Her very complex and sometimes tumultuous relationship with alcohol as a young drinker, has moved her to discuss the stigma around alcohol and addiction. Her goal is to help demystify some of the perceptions around these multidimensional subjects. She hopes that In sharing her story, she can create space for others who are struggling with addiction to feel seen and reveal alternative ways of recovery outside of just sobriety.

She hopes others who have, or are struggling, can connect and find optimism knowing there is a light at the other side if the work is done head-on.
